Nefertari Carranza’s journey in construction technology is marked by a dedication to innovation and a relentless quest for answers. Her professional path began at Texas A&M University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Construction Science & Management, and honed her expertise with minors in Business Administration and Facilities Management. After graduation, Nefertari continued to embark on a diverse career, starting with foundational roles at Turner Construction Company and The Walsh Group in Texas, where she developed her skills in project management and field operations on various high-profile projects.

Her curiosity and drive led her to further roles as she expanded her experience in the civil sector with the State of Connecticut Department of Transportation and AI Engineers on, where she made significant contribution to public infrastructure projects, while identifying areas for improvement through technology. She then became a construction technology specialist working with a platinum partner in implementing Autodesk Construction Cloud solutions to the construction workflows. Seeking to observe the impact of global construction, Nefertari pursued a research-intensive Master of Science in Technological Innovation in Construction at the Polytechnic University of Madrid, where she deepened her expertise in global construction practices. Her research focused on leveraging advanced digital tools, including cutting-edge BIM methodologies (4D, 5D, 6D), interoperability and IoT structure integration to streamline processes across the industry efficiently. She also explored the importance sustainability through the use of innovative materials and energy-efficiency simulations, aiming to integrate these crucial innovations in the construction projects of today.

Now at the helm of NCON, Nefertari utilizes her extensive field experience and advanced research to challenge the status quo in construction, championing a future where technology and collaboration transform the industry landscape.
